Hi guys!!!

What an enjoyable evening spent with Nick at the Qormi Wine Festival on Saturday, 3rd of September 2016!

The Wine Festival this year at its 12th Edition it was one of the biggest food and wine event of the 2016.

I think that the reason why this festival attracts so many people its a part from the good wine and food is its own setting: the beautiful core centre of the old Qormi village, which was the “Città Pinto”, the city of the Grand Master Emmanuel Pinto!

Walking along its streets, lovely adorned for the event, just when the sun went down leaving its place to the light of the stages and the stalls it was magic!!

Lots of famous bands and singers took part of this Festival which guaranteed two evenings full of concerts and fun!

This year along the streets and in the square of the St George Parish Church there were also many artisans stalls and for all the food lovers could not miss the gastronomic ones which presented a wide choice of platter including the Maltese traditional ftira and the freshly baked pizza… don’t forget that Qormi is also called “the city of the bread”!

Nick and I we really appreciated the modality proposed by the organizers for the wine tasting!

Basically there was a tocken system to purchase wines. We bought the souvenir wine glassfor 15€ and this one included 20 tockens to be spent for the tasting of the different wines.

We decided to spend our tockens for a guided wine tasting session offered by Marsovin wine experts.

Well, sincerely after have tasted three glasses of white wines and three of red wines I cannot post now my video.. you will forgive me as beginner when it comes to wine… (even Nick had a red nose after that), but I really enjoyed to be guided into the discovering of the flavours of each Marsovin, who presented the most exclusive wines produced locally!

For those of you that are wine lovers I can write some name of the wine list: Ċittadella, La Vallette, Verdala Rose’, La Torre, 1919 and the whole Caravaggio range….
